Well I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas break!
I sure for one was happy to not be sitting editing photographs for the whole break,
although I have to admit, I did miss it!
I've been a busy little bee working on something else for 2014,
that's the new packaging and pricing methods! I'm getting more "up to date" and inline with those around me, you'll see what I mean!
I was up until goodness knows what hour creating a brand spanking new digital brochure for you guys, that lists all of the prices, products and packages available to you guys!
So would you like to know the changes?
Out goes the traditional 'package', made up of items you don't always want, for each portrait type. Incomes a sitting fee (or otherwise known as a base price).
This means that you pay for the service of photography, the 'sitting' fee, you don't however get any products in with this price.
Once you have viewed all of the photographs from your session, via a password protected online gallery or other method if this isn't suitable, you can select exactly what products you would like.
You don't have to pay for the ones you have no use for, meaning that you get a better value for money. To help you out, I have put together 4 "Add On" packages that compliment each other.
Whether its for giving prints to your childs grandparents, aunts/uncles or for hanging in different rooms of your house, there will be one to suit you. If not you can take your own pick at products.

There has been an increase in prices with products, this is due to finding a new supplier who offer a bigger variety of products for you lovely people! One of my favourite items is their Keepsake Accordion which fits up to 12 different photographs in! This is a perfect product to buy if you want to display your photographs together!
Another big change in prices however is the use of digital files in portrait sessions.
Digital files are very valuable as you can share them with friends and family at home, or far away via the internet. You also get full printing rights from Marie-Louise Hall Photography, meaning you can print what ever photo you want, whenever you want. Due to this, digital files can now only be purchased in bulk, however I have created a few little bundles for you!
Another major point when printing your own photographs, even at printing labs, they don't always get the colours right! I use a professional photographic printing lab approved by almost all photography associations, so you will never be disappointed with the quality.
A final point to this post, I'd like to thank you for all of the support you have given me since I started my business. You'll see the price changes in the next post (i'm about to write it now), aside from products increases and making my session fees more 'modern', I really want to make this a full time dream and own a studio! I hope i'll get your continued support - I will say to keep an eye out on the facebook page and this blog as I have some very interesting offers going on throughout 2014!
All the best!
